We We Love Those Sounds

yep so we love sounds 09 is around the corner and i am pumping....for those of you not going - eat it! and for those who are - see you at some point of Buurens 5hr set. The lineup this year is so so wicked and rippin that i had to only pick a few bangers to put up......

No need to fear, another frenchie is back in town through Danger who being a world experienced Dj and producer has remained quite mysterious....his live set should be a slammin shindig and here is a sick track of his.

13h12 - Danger

Staying in Europe we have Dutch DJ Laidback Luke who aside from touring the globe many a times to bang out his sets.....has collaborated with everyone form the Sweedish House Mafia to Daft Punk themselves. So i have for you below his remix that was featured on Daft Punks semi-flop remix album Daft Club (that is if you can call anything of theirs a flop).

eMJay + more

So as it is during exams i was not going to make a post....but...in my english exam one of the questions texts was 'Man in the Mirror' so i got my ipod cranking with some MJ remixes and i decided to share the love.

So whilst i am posting here is a Phoenix remix that i missed out on last week...it is from Alex Metric who has a little Ed Banger sound to him and has long lived in the shadow of his compatriot Adam Freeland but is now breaking out himself.

another french return

This post is a change of pace for the week and with the new release of Phoenix's new album 'Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix' (Produced by Philippe Zdar AKA Cassius) is the groups fourth album and includes bangers such as the infamous '1901'. The dudes if you have not heard are a seemingly retro indie band that chills out melodic riffs in unison with Thomas Mars' soothing vocals. These alternate rockers were from the very seen that saw the success of Air and Daft Punk.

The second single from the album Lisztomania refers to the pianist (when read loudly and quickly takes a whole new meaning)--- Frank Liszt who was sooo damn good he had a standing house of women screaming at him - sort of like today's Russell Brand. Anyways there is the history so enjoy these two tracks plus arguably there all time best track
PEACE!!

Yes yes we are talking the French Electro scene.....With that comes Justice so pardon my French (and gay pun) but i must say they are Le fuckingawesome!! These two chillers (Gaspard & Xavier) have been jiving round the world recently - the product of this being a live album + film called "A Cross The Universe"....

Below are a few of the most cream-in-pants songs of the album being cool variations of old favourites.

BROOKLYN GOES HARD

We have this week Holy Ghost made of two chillers from Brooklyn. These Yanks have been pumping out wicked DJ sets and some awesome remixes recently....i saw these dudes as support for Hot Chip early this year at the Enmore ad was impressed....FBI 94.5 have been pushing these guys quite a bit lately and you can see why.

An original of theirs Hold On is below and is featured in A-Trak's new Infinity+1 mix....and a remix of oz-dudes Cut Copy is pretty rad! along with those two MGMT remixes who also came to Australia in the summer holidays and have been announced in a rather disappointing Splendour In The Grass 09 lineup....one is from Holy Ghost and the other is pretty cool rework by Jim Jones that i thought i might drop....

enjoy safely and keep it real!

Pom Pom

Uh huh he is back the world famous UK producer and artist Calvin Harris has released a new track Im Not Alone which moves away from his hit album I Created Disco that saw hits such as The Girls, Merrymaking At My Place, Neon Rocks, Acceptable in the 80's etc. This track has been given remixes by Deadmau5 wos Canadain originals and remixes have been blasting around the world....the other remix is by Tiesto one of the kings of Trance music around the world....some of his stuff is a bit to trancey for me but his remixes are fairly wicked....one thing is for sure this Dutch DJ/record producer has one of the biggest live sets and fan bases around the world. Enjoy these killer mixes...peace!
