BACKK

I am back amongst civilisation now and back in circulation are to big names that everyone should be excited about. I am of course talking about the new albums from The Arctic Monkeys and Muse.

First The Arctic Monkeys new album 'Humbug'. Honestly coming from a huge fan i have to say that this is not what i expected. The brit kids i feel have got a bit big for there boots and have released an average album. The old Monkeys' sound is trapped under a bold choice in producers, by this i mean not sticking with Simian Mobile Disco's James Ford who was brilliant for them on their previous album. The trashy indie rock riffs have been lost and the trash outways with a grimy sound....however there are still moments of revived brilliance amidst the album so its definately one for a listen.

Secondly Muse who have released this track from their anticipated album 'The Resistance' - i am yet to listen to the entire album though without getting my eardrums around it i anticipate a great record that will reflect their old sound along with influence from the hide-away recording they did in Italy (if i am not mistaken).
Uprising - Muse

And as this post was rock orientated check this edit of the Muscles hit 'Sweaty'....Shazam once again shows why he could possibly Australia's summer chiller.

I JUST TOOK OFF MY JACKET

I will be away for a few days so that = no posts (sorry).
But all is not lost as the focus for this post is my biggest influence and a damn cool/successful dude. Pedro Winter aka Busy P along with occasionaly DJing some wicked sets and releasing dope tracks he is the owner of record label Ed Banger which im sure ive posted about before. So at some point he did manage Daft Punk but those gods have moved on and now he is restricted to still a f'ing dope roster of artists. Anybody who is going to parklife will see his set and will also hear his festive french accent as he is host of the event-WICKED.....so the post would not be complete without some tracks so here is one of his orginals that you may have heard given a nice lil mix + one of his signed artists Mr Oizo (pronnounced wa-zuu) with a short and sweet - maybe a lil sour track.........in the words of Murs - AU REVOIR MUTHAFUCKERS!!

STEREOSONIC

parklife vs stereosonic...who would win stereosonic has probably the better lineup but parklife is parklife.
ok it has been put to the kungfu test it is like chuck norris vs bruce lee its epic....so just go to both and if you cant manage both pick one as bruce and one as chuck and watch the outcome here.

so for those who have not heard the lineup for stereosonic includes rippers like; drop the lime, deadmau5, bloody beetroots, surkin, fedde le grand, cut copy djs, chicane, axwell, crookers, grafton primary, acid jacks, alter ego and zombie nation. So to celebrate probably the best lineup of the year i have layed down a few stereosonic essentials peace.

Go Go Stop

slowing it down a little bit i am passing through the grapevine a sydney band that have a good sound and even better to come....'stop starter' are worth a listen if you like a bit of indie or electro rock the smooth and melodic sound transfers to another song i am digging tooo much not too share, the last bonus track could use with some decent recording but you could get lost in this one....sit back chillax...

P.s. for any indie fans then head to the myspace of a previous band that the stop.starter boys were in >>> LearnToSwimSchool [recommended track is 'Weight Down']
